Autumn Fernandes RMT

I specialize in pregnancy/post natal massage therapy and am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. I have been practicing for four years and am registered with the Canadian College of Massage Therapist of Ontario. I have completed courses from Trimester's in Toronto for pregnancy massage and infant massage instruction and have attend the doula course from Doulas of North America for labour support. I have been a Doula at 11 births and will never forget the beautiful moment of seeing each baby take their first breath. I have a daughter and understand the importance of being cared for from the day you find out you are pregnant, throughout your pregnancy, labour and into motherhood. I am an active member on the Cambridge Community Breast Feeding Group and enjoy helping get awareness out about the benefits of breastfeeding. I am also a Personal Trainer certified through Can-Fit-Pro. My goal for the clinic is to provide women and their families with the best care possible and give them a place to go that offers a family friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Amy Brown Chiropractor

Amy was born and raised in Cambridge and graduated from Trent University with a degree in Biochemistry. She than attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 2001. Since that time Dr. Amy Brown has been practicing at Coronation Chiropractic and Massage. Areas of special interest include sports, general family practice and pregnancy. Personal involvement with dance, swimming, running and weight training has given her an even deeper understanding of injuries that may occur pursuing these hobbies. Her interest in the care of women during pregnancy increased during her own pregnancy and has resulted in an even deeper passion for the care of women and their young families. Amy is an active member on the Cambridge Community Breast Feeding Group. Balancing caring for a family and pursuing a professional career has fostered the understanding for the importance of caring for women in order for them to be able to care for their families. Dr. Brown currently lives in Cambridge with her husband and daughter and is excited to be joining the team at Fernandes Family Natural Health Care.

Tania Heinemann RNCP

Tania has a passion for educating people about nutritional healing starting from the inside. She decided to study Nutrition in 1999, after years of being chronically sick as a result of digestive issues. It has now been eight years of living IBS symptom free. She left behind corporate and family law and studied at The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Mississauga ON. Tania has her diploma as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. She is a member of the IONC (International Organization of Nutritional Consultants) where she holds her Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner status. Tania is also a Post-Partum Doula who has completed the 24 hour Lactation Management seminar with Dr. Jack Newman and is an active member of the Cambridge Community Breastfeeding group. She specializes in implementing whole foods to the entire family, infant care, and concerns, colic and thrush, pre & post natal health and well being, breastfeeding support and digestive issues. She also works with asthma, food allergies and does allergy testing.

Tania is completing her Reiki training and is now accepting appointment bookings at the clinic. She works to enhance a healthy sense of self with lifestyle coaching.

Marissa Chaulk RMT

Originally from Nova Scotia, Marissa moved to Guelph Ontario when she was quite young where she completed all of her public schooling. She went to college in Cambridge to complete the massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She became interested in prenatal and postnatal massage while in school treating clients in the student clinic and seeing the benefits massage therapy offered to pregnant women. She took advanced training in prenatal massage through the Trimesters program.

In Toronto, Marissa volunteered at a hospital on the antenatal, labour, delivery and postpartum floors. Recently graduating from school with honours, Marissa is excited to begin working at Fernandes Family Natural Health Care Clinic.

Heidi Valuck RMT

Heidi has been practicing Massage Therapy for 2 years. She attended the CanadianCollege of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Cambridge, graduating in 2006. She is registered with the CanadianCollege of Massage Therapist of Ontario and Ontario Massage Therapists Association. Heidi has always had an interest in working with pregnancy and infant massage and looks forward to the experience and knowledge she will gain working at the clinic.
